MEET OUR PASTOR
Pastor Carl Shinn graduated from Pitman High School in 1966 and immediately began a career in Information Technology which lasted for 44 years until he retired from Gloucester County Institute of Technology as the Director of Technology in 2010.
Carl received Christ as his Savior in 1995 and responded by serving in various capacities within his home church for several years. He entered ministry in 2013 after completing a Certified Lay Minister program and was initially appointed to serve as a Supply Pastor at St. Paul’s UMC in New Gretna, NJ. Once he received his license, he became a Local Pastor and continued to serve at New Gretna until he retired for medical reasons in 2018. He returned to ministry in 2022 to serve as part-time Retired Local Pastor at Weymouth UMC in Weymouth, NJ.
He resides in Pitman, NJ with his wife of 50 years, Alice. They have one daughter who is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
